2. Information we process

Website requests. Cloudflare, our website hosting and security provider, processes technical information when your browser requests a page or other website content. This can include your IP address, the requested URL, the date and time of the request, browser and operating-system information, a referring page if your browser supplies it, and information used to identify errors or security threats. Some technical records and operational reports may be available to us for troubleshooting and security.

Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, pages viewed, referring websites, and how quickly pages load. Reports can include country, device type, browser, and operating system. Its browser script sends page and performance measurements to Cloudflare. Cloudflare states that this service discards incoming IP addresses at its nearest data center and does not store them in its analytics databases or logs.

We use Cloudflare's regional exclusion setting for the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. The exclusion is based on the Cloudflare data center handling the connection, rather than a visitor's nationality or residence.

Correspondence. When you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message, associated email metadata, and attachments. Support correspondence may also include information you choose to provide about your device, operating system, app version, or a problem you encountered. We use Google Workspace for email.

If you contact us by post or through our business telephone service, we process the contact details, communication records, and content you provide. Northwest Registered Agent handles correspondence received through those services, including opening and scanning postal mail and delivering text messages or voicemail. Voicemail messages are also transcribed into text.

Providing correspondence is voluntary, although we may be unable to answer a request without sufficient details. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information unnecessary for your inquiry.

3. How and why we use information

We use technical information to deliver the website, maintain its availability, investigate faults, and prevent abuse. We use correspondence to respond to inquiries, provide requested assistance, and keep records needed to handle the matter. We also use information when necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We use aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful and improve website performance. We do not use it to create individual visitor profiles or target advertising.

Where European or UK data protection law applies, our legal basis for routine website operation, security, and correspondence is our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable website and responding to people who contact us. Where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps you request before entering a contract, we rely on that basis instead. Processing necessary to comply with an applicable legal obligation is based on that obligation.

4. Cookies and tracking

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser storage. It measures activity on this website without tracking individual visitors across websites. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels, build advertising profiles, or allow tracking across websites for advertising through our site.

A small script included with this website turns protected email addresses into usable links. We use it to help reduce email harvesting. It does not collect information or use browser storage.

Cloudflare may use security cookies or similar browser-based mechanisms to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Their use depends on the security features enabled and the request being assessed. These mechanisms are used for website security, not advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking security cookies may affect access when a security check is required.

The website does not change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

We use Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery, security, and analytics, Google Workspace for email, and Northwest Registered Agent for business mail and telephone services. These providers process information needed to deliver and protect the relevant services. Their own privacy notices describe processing for which they are independently responsible.

We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers or public authorities where reasonably necessary to obtain advice, comply with applicable law or valid legal process, or protect legal rights and security. We may also disclose information at your request. We do not provide correspondence to advertisers.

6. How long we keep information

We retain correspondence according to its purpose and content. In deciding how long to keep it, we consider whether an inquiry or support matter remains active, whether the information is needed for related follow-up or a necessary business record, and whether a legal obligation or legal claim requires preservation. We delete personal information when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

Technical and security records are retained according to operational needs and the applicable service-provider settings and terms. Providers may also retain records for their own legal or security purposes. Deleting information from active use does not necessarily remove all provider-held copies immediately, including archives, backups, and recovery copies.

Cloudflare currently makes the previous six months of Web Analytics reports available to us. That reporting window does not establish a deletion deadline for every underlying provider record.

7. International processing

Garua Labs is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws from those where you live.

Our Google Workspace and Cloudflare agreements include data-protection terms addressing international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. You can contact with questions about where your information is processed or to request information about applicable safeguards, including a copy where relevant.

8. Your privacy requests and rights

You can email to ask about information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion.

Depending on the law that applies and the circumstances, you may also have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, restrict its use, or receive it in a portable format. Where applicable law provides a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, you may exercise that right by contacting us. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and understand your request. We will respond as required by applicable law and explain any reason we cannot fulfill it. You can use the same email address to ask us to reconsider a decision or submit an appeal where applicable law provides one. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. Our email contact preference does not limit any right to submit a request through another method recognized by applicable law.

9. Security and children's privacy

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure.

This is a general-audience company website, not a service directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information that we should not retain, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post revisions on this page and update the effective date. We will identify material changes on this page and provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law.
